A history buff’s dream in 1700s fashion but with modern-day amenities on the 1st floor.

Daniel Boone is an important historical figure for the town of Cumberland Gap, as he was imperative to westward expansion by widening the trail through the mountain pass from which the town gets its name. Therefore, we just had to name a room after him. It was only fitting for that room to be in the original 1700s cabin, the oldest structure in Cumberland Gap.

As you step through the low-lying door into Daniel Boone, you are instantly transported back to colonial times when America was brand new. History seems to whisper in every inch of this cozy room located on the second floor of the cabin. The walls are original wood logs, some of which are 30″ wide. No machinery was used in the building of the cabin, so it was a true labor of love by its builders all those centuries ago.

Although typically a two-guest accommodation, there is an additional guest availability for $25.00 per person per night.

This room is a true gem for history buffs…or simply anyone who wants to escape the noise and hustle of the modern world for a while. Book your stay today in the Daniel Boone room by clicking HERE.
